There are no costs associated with accessing services.

Service Description:
This shelter is a short term emergency centre for native and non-native women, with or without children, who find themselves in a crisis situation, such as physical or sexual abuse, desertion, eviction or pregnancy. Individual counseling, group discussions, referral and information regarding legal d social agencies is available. Clients may stay up to six weeks. Also, offer outreach and transitional support programs, and child care as needed.

Services Provided:

  • 10 bed emergency shelter
  • 24 toll free telephone with TDD access
  • Referrals and information to legal, financial, social, educational, housing and health agencies.
  • Transportation to access shelter services and agencies
  • Support to children during transition period
  • Counseling
  • Moral support and guidance

Additional Services:

  • Home visits if person chooses not to come to the shelter or if unable to
  • Accompaniments to doctor’s appointments, legal appointments, etc
  • Confidential and non-judgmental
  • Transitional support
  • Outreach and Crisis Support
